Answer the following questions.
1. Why was the king advised to go to magicians?
Ans:-The king was advised to go to magicians because they only could look into the future to decide the right time for doing something.
2. In answer to the second question, whose advice did the people say would be important to the king?
Ans:-In answer to the second question people said that advice of councilors, some said about the pieces of advice of the priests, doctors and soldiers would be important to the king.
3. What suggestions were made in answer to the third question?
Ans:- Three suggestions (a) science (b)fighting (c)religious worship were made in answer to the third question.
4. Did the wise men win the reward? If not, Why not?
Ans:-No, the wise men did not win the reward because they did not satisfy the king with their answers.
5. How did the king and the hermit help the wounded man?
Ans:-When the hermit told the king someone came running there, the king was surprised to see a bearded man. His hands were pressed against the stomach, from which blood was flowing. Both the king and the hermit removed his clothing. The king then and there washed his wound and covered it with his handkerchief. The king re-dressed the wound to stop the bleeding. The king brought fresh water for the man so that he could quench his thirst. They carried the wounded man into the hut and laid him on the bed. This is how the king and the hermit helped the wounded man.

(i)Ans:-The bearded man was an enemy of the king who swore revenge on him because the king had killed his brother and seized his property.
(ii)Ans:-The bearded man asked for the king's forgiveness because the king saved his life without asking any questions. The bearded man felt guilty of swearing revenge on the king whose service and hospitality were beyond his imagination.
7. The king forgave the bearded man. What did he do to show his forgiveness?
Ans:-The king forgave the bearded man. He said to the man that he would send his servants and his own doctor to look after him. Also, the king promised to give back the man his seized property.
8. What were the hermit's answers to the three questions? Write each answer separately. Which answer do you like most, and why?
Ans:-(i)"Now is the most important time because it is the time we can do something",
(ii) "The most necessary person is the person who is with you at a particular moment because the future is unknown to us",
(ii)"The most important work is to do good to the person who is with you because we were sent into this world to do so", were the answers to the three questions. I like the first answer the most because it can fulfill the needs and requirements of the people without any delay. As we know that time and tide wait for none so it is the most important answer.
