Ans:-Nishad finds out about Mr. Nath that he likes eating the same food every day -,two chapattis, some dal, and a vegetable. He has only two meals a day- lunch and dinner. He takes a cup of tea only in the morning and in the afternoon. He is able to pay cash for his meal. He likes paying tips generously.
2. Why does Maya think Mr. Nath is a crook? Who does she say the Sunday visitor is?
Ans:-Maya thinks Mr. Nath is a crook because she finds that he has so many scars on his face which may be the marks of bullet injury. He has only one friend who visits on Sunday. He has no work for his earnings but he is able to pay cash for his meal and tea. Maya suspects that Mr. Nath has a lot of money and the Sunday visitor is his partner.
3. Does Nishad agree with Maya about Mr. Nath? How does he feel about him?
Ans:-No, Nishad does not agree with Maya. He feels about Mr. Nath that he is a poor man with polite nature and a friendly attitude.

1. Who do you think Mr. Nath is? Write a paragraph or two about him.
Ans:- I think Mr. Nath is a patient under the treatment of the doctor who is the mother of Maya and Nishad.
He has scars on his face. These may be fire burns. He doesn’t move due to the mark. He wants to keep away from society until it is cured properly. His brother is the only visitor to look after him. He visits him every Sunday. Maya thinks that he is a crime whereas Nishad thinks him to be a very good and sympathetic person.
2. What else do you think Nishad and Maya will find out about him? How? Will they ever be friends? Think about these questions and write a paragraph or two to continue the story.
Ans:- Both Nishad and Maya were agreed to help each other in their inquiry. Both of them got a chance to open his trunk but they found only his clothes and his books. Latter when they asked their mother about Mr. Nath, they understood very well that he was a very good patient.
