1. Why did the farmer bring a baby mongoose into the house?

Ans:- The farmer thought that his son when grew up he would need a companion. So the farmer brought a baby mongoose into his house to accompany his small son.

2. Why didn't the farmer's wife want to leave the baby alone with the mongoose?

Ans:- Farmer’s wife was afraid of mongooses. She did not believe the mongoose to be a friendly companion of her small son. So she did not want her small son to be left alone with the mongoose.

3. What was the farmer's comment on his wife's fear?

Ans:- The farmer said that the mongoose was as friendly as her own son. The animal was a very loving and faithful one. By saying this he tried to remove her fright and fear.

4. Why did the farmer's wife strike the mongoose with her basket?

Ans:- The farmer’s wife entered the house with a heavy basket full of things. She saw the stains of blood on the face and paws of the mongoose. She thought that the mongoose had killed her small son. So getting angry she stroked the mongoose with her basket. Consequently, the mongoose died then and there.

Ans:- Yes, she repented her hasty action. Mongoose had killed the snake to save her son. The farmer’s wife understood when she saw a dead snake torn into pieces and her son fast asleep. She got a deep distress and very painful emotion for her action without thought against monkey.

Ans:- I like very much a pet dog. I have a pet dog. His name is CURRENT. My Current is very swift and sharp hunter. It protects us from thief at night. My dog follows me all the times. He wants to go to school with me. But he is not allowed to go to school because there is no place made for my dog in the school. I look after my dog very carefully. He takes his meal at the very same time when I take my meal. My grandfather brought it from Nepal. He takes bath every day using shampoo and gets fresh. He plays with me every evening and likes my chocolates very much. It does not feel bored eating biscuit provided by me. My dog is a very loving pet. I like it.
