Ans:- Ray communicated with his customer by writing his words on a notepad. And the very same thing was done by the customer.
4. What do you think the man said to his friend who waited at the door?
Ans:- The man informed his friend standing close that the owner of the shop was neither able to hear nor to speak.
5. Ray was not a pawnbroker. Why then did he lend money to people in exchange for their old watches and clocks?
Ans:- Ray was not a pawnbroker. He was very kind and helpful person to the needy ones. He was not able to answer in negative to anyone who was needy. So he lent money in exchange for their old watches and clocks.
