(iv) 'Thumped me on the back' means patted on the back affectionately.
3. Describe a recent quarrel that you have had with your brother, sister, or friend. How did it start? What did you quarrel about?
Ans:-It was Thursday. I just came from school and put off my uniform. I took a little rest and wanted to play a computer game VICE CITY. I noted the CODES of the game so that I could use them to find the tanks, planes, and guns. When I went to the place I found that it was kept written on a piece of paper. It was replaced from there. I understood that it was the work of my sister. I asked her if she knew that paper on which some codes were written. She denied it and said that I should have taken care of my things. It is true that all of my things are replaced by her only. I asked her to bring my written codes, but she refused again to do so. That was why I scolded her. My father was taking tea sitting in the adjacent room. He came and scolded both of us for our quarrel.
