1. Why did the dog feel the need for a master?
Ans:-The dog felt the need of a master because he was tired of wandering about by himself for food, also being frightened of those who were stronger than he (was). He wanted to find a powerful master who could save him from fear.
2. Who did he first choose as his master? Why did he leave that master?
Ans:- The dog first chose a wolf as his master. He left the wolf because the wolf was not able to face the dangers created by the bear. In this situation, the dog would have been in danger. He wanted to be safe all the time.
3. Who did he choose next?
Ans:- Next, the dog chose a bear as his master.
4. Why did he serve the lion for a long time?
Ans:-The dog served the lion for a long time because the lion was the strongest beast in the forest. The animals of the forest dare not touch the dog or offend him in any way due to the lion as his master. The dog felt him safe from all the dangers.
5. Who did he finally choose as his master and why?
Ans:-The dog finally chose man as his master because the lion was afraid of man. He thought that man was stronger than any other animal on the earth.
